Come and stay at the Lazy Sheep and you have 60 acres to explore, encompassing stream walks, breathtaking views, a beautiful lake for some wild swimming and the old quarry (from which both the barn and farmhouse were originally built). As you might expect, our land is a safe haven for endless wildlife (and generally lots of sheep!) but if you’re lucky and walk quietly through the fields, you may well spot wild, red deer dozing in the undergrowth or our resident barn owls. Construct your own field shelter or forage for wood to burn on your firepit. If you wish, kids are also extremely welcome to pitch a tent for a night or two in the paddock. If you fancy a bit more comfort but like the sound of glamping, why not rent our gorgeous bell tent, we’ll even set up some comfy beds on the floor for you! For a beautiful cross-country walk but with a reward at the end, then stride out across the fields and head down the valley to Exebridge. Here you’ll find the Anchor pub, which does decent grub and has a fabulous beer garden right on the river. Its only about 2.5 miles away but you may need wellies and it’s not a walk to attempt at night (or in thew winter)!
